Hello and welcome to my website!  I am an artist and educator living in Queens, New York.  I have worked as a museum educator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, as a parent coordinator in the New York City public schools system, and as a freelance teaching artist.  Please submit any questions or comments to my Contact Page. I look forward to hearing from you.

Artist's Statement

I find objects of interest, alter them, and combine them in ways that resonate. I am interested in harmony and balance as it is expressed in the interaction of similar and disparate shapes and forms, and in color, texture, and pattern. I am equally fascinated by discord and the coexistence of opposing forces, and how varied and unorthodox materials can work together in both easy and/or uncomfortable association.

Most of my raw materials are vintage and/or recycled objects found on the street, in thrift stores and flea markets, or donated from personal collections.

The objects themselves guide me intuitively in the process of art making. I create both narrative and abstract constructions that honor and build upon the objects’ stories, or tell other stories.
